Provide attendees information on child trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), strategies for cross-system collaboration and trauma-informed practices to elevate survivor voices in reform efforts. Review coalition change strategies, including Enhance accessibility of specialized services for CSEC, immigrant & refugee youth, Execute youth & professional trainings to raise awareness of child trafficking & best practices, & Form Youth Survivor Advisory Board.

Alea Cummings (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of trauma-focused experience. She provides trauma-focused therapy and court advocacy to trafficked youth in her work for PCA, housed at the Philadelphia Safety Collaborative. She provides Trauma-Focused CBT and EMDR therapies alongside expressive arts and body-centered techniques to empower children, families and communities to lead successful and fulfilling lives. Alea co-leads the Philadelphia Juvenile Anti Trafficking Coalition with Ms. Sagastume. Gov. Wolf appointed Alea to the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Committee. She also participates in NCTSN’s Child Sex Trafficking Group and NCA’s CSEC Collaborative Work Group to create, collate and enhance training resources for providers. She earned her Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Boston Universit

Kelly Sagastume

Kelly Sagastume (she/her/hers), MSW, Program Manager of Project PROTECT and Child Advocate Social Worker at Support Center for Child Advocates, is responsible for clients who are child victims of human trafficking with open cases in family and/or criminal court and coordinating services to child victims of human trafficking served by Child Advocates at large. Ms. Sagastume also dedicates her time to local resource development and macro-level policy advocacy for child victims of human trafficking, specifically through her convening of the Philadelphia Juvenile Anti-Trafficking Coalition. Prior to her work at Child Advocates, Ms. Sagastume worked as a Victim Advocate with the Salvation Army's New Day to Stop Trafficking Program, where she conducted initial screenings and intakes of newly identified victims with the Philadelphia Police Department/Special Victims Unit. Ms. Sagastume is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy & Practice where she received her Masters' of Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare and Child Well-Being.
