The Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI)

The Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) is a brief (5-8 session) evidence-based treatment that can help lower the stressful symptoms children experience after a traumatic experience so they can heal and recover. It’s an invaluable treatment to add to the list of services offered by our CACs. Because CFTSI is both short and effective, it can help reduce the need for longer term care, cut down on waitlists, and allow clinicians to serve more children.

Support for the NCA Institute and the development of these resources comes from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), supporting quality health care accessible to all through its Global Health Initiative (GHI).
