Accreditation Bootcamp 2.0

Accreditation Bootcamp 2.0 is designed to provide an overview of the accreditation process, provide participants with a framework for developing their application, and help them understand what to expect during a site visit. Bootcamp 2.0 applies to CACs going through Accreditation or Reaccreditation with a site visit after January 1st, 2023

Topics to be covered include: history of the accreditation process; NCA accreditation procedures; overview of NCA standards for Accredited Members; putting standards into practice; common challenges centers face in meeting standards; what to do when current practice may not meet the standard; engaging your team in the process and creating a “plan of attack”; preparing your application; and what to expect from a site visit.

Accreditation Bootcamp is great resource to share with MDT Partners, new employees, and Board Members. In all honesty is could also be titled, “Understanding the NCA Accreditation Standards!”

This project was supported by grant #2018-CI-FX-K002 awarded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.  The opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this project are those of the presenters and do not necessarily reflect those of the Department of Justice.
