Unit Chief for the FBI Child Victim Services Unit


Catherine S. Connell is a state licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ms Connell is currently employed with the FBI as the Victim Services Division, Unit Chief for Child Victim Services Unit and is also a Child/Adolescent Forensic Interviewer. Ms Connell manages the FBIs Child/Adolescent Forensic interviewing program.  She provides interviews, consultation and training for FBI Agents, Assistant United States Attorney’s, and other federal, state and international law enforcement.   Ms Connell has been qualified as an expert witness on multiple subjects in civil and criminal cases, in Federal and local jurisdictions. Ms Connell has coauthored and published Interviewing Compliant Adolescent Victims, A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words: Incorporating Child Pornography Images in the Forensic Interview and Working Together: Building and Sustaining a Multijurisdictional Response to Missing or Murdered Indigenous Children and Adolescents.

National Children’s Alliance

Heather Provencher is Coordinator for Services to Military Families at National Children’s Alliance (NCA). In this role, Heather works to foster partnerships between Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) and military programs serving children and families. Heather is the spouse of an Army Veteran, aunt to four Navy-connected kids, and is committed to working to ensure military families have access to CAC services. Prior to joining NCA, Heather worked in investigative, crisis intervention, and prevention education roles at CACs in Maryland and California.
