Considerations for Mental Health Services in Physical Abuse Cases

Facilitated by Ann Marie Tucker, Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara in New York, our panelists will review the considerations for Mental Health, specifically AF-CBT, that a CAC/MDT should consider when evaluating services to include child physical abuse. The presentation will follow information included in the guide produced by the National Children’s Alliance, entitled, “Child Physical Abuse, a guide to the CAC response.” The presentation will include a combination of description of information in the guide as well as the panelists experience with AF-CBT. There will also be a facilitated time for question and answers related to the material/topic.
