Representatives from Department of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Department of the Air Force will present on the unique aspects of how the Family Advocacy Program operates in each branch of service to meet the unique needs of military families. Recommendations for effective collaboration will be discussed and an opportunity for Q&A will follow the live presentation. Dr. John Gonzalez is the Clinical Director for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at AFMED in Falls Church, VA. In this role, Dr. John Gonzalez develops policies and procedures for child and partner maltreatment intervention, provides technical guidance to FAP providers, and ensures high-quality service delivery. Dr. John Gonzalez also analyzes and improves the global FAP program, collaborating with military services and multidisciplinary teams to address complex issues and enhance program effectiveness. Additionally, Dr. John Gonzalez designs educational programs to support professional development and maintain service excellence.
