Dr. Chamberlain’s research interests span social, legal, and clinical areas and he has conducted research on several topics, including jury decision making processes, stress and secondary trauma among judges, the rights and responsibilities of gay parents, psychologists’ attitudes toward prescription privileges, and predictors of dementia. He has also recently published two books, one which focuses on how psychology can be used to inform law and policy outcomes that are beneficial to children and families and another which explores the impact of community sentiment on law and policy. In addition to his academic research, Dr. Chamberlain conducts applied research as a trial consultant. In that capacity, he has provided consultation on jury selection, case strategy, and witness preparation in several cases.
