Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children
Dr. Patricia Scott is the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Grants for the Beau Biden Foundation. As Director, she works directly with foundations, funders, schools, and youth-serving organizations to complete the Shield of Protection, an innovative collaboration between the Foundation and youth-serving organizations and schools to implement best practices in child protection policies, procedures, and trainings. Before the Beau Biden Foundation, Dr. Scott was the Principal for Saint Edmond’s Academy, an independent, Catholic all-boys school. Under her leadership, Saint Edmond’s Academy was one of the first partners with the Beau Biden Foundation to complete the Shield of Protection assessment and implement required annual child abuse training for faculty, staff, coaches, and volunteers. With over twenty-nine years’ experience in school administration and leadership, Dr. Scott is also a published contributor for an educational magazine and speaks often at national workshops and conferences. Dr. Scott currently serves on multiple school boards and volunteers as a certified CASA (court-appointed special advocate) for children in foster care.
